Oravaby ~Kiljunator

The name of this picture pretty much explains it all. That is a squirrel indeed, though maybe rather chubby one too and with rather dull background. Orava is finnish and means squirrel in english, you see.

This is just something that I drew since I haven't drawn realistic animals for really long time. It was about a time to do one finally as I've always liked drawing this detailed pictures. I think I should have done something with the background as well, but I couldn't figure out what and it would have required too much time. Well, I'll try do better next time.

I was also planning on to use this picture as a christmas card, even though it doesn't look very christmas-y or wintery.

Awww, this is adorable. I think the white background works well with it. It let's you focus more easily on the squirrel then a detailed background would let you.
